Samaria Gorge Samaria grykė

This is the longest gorge in Europe, its length being 18 km and is descending from the Plateau at 1200m high, all the way down to sea-level at Agia Roumeli village with spectacular scenery all the way. Kjo ėshtė mė i gjatė grykės nė Evropė, duke u gjatėsinė e saj 18 km dhe ėshtė zbritės nga pllajė nė 1200m lartė, gjatė gjithė rrugės pėr shkak tė nivelit tė detit nė Agia Roumeli fshat me pamje spektakolare gjithė rrugės. Walking the whole distance will take 4 to 7 hr at a reasonable pace . Ecur tė gjithė nė distancė do tė marrė 4 deri nė 7 orė nė njė ritėm tė arsyeshme. The walk is long and can be arduous but it is not a difficult walk. Shėtitje e ėshtė e gjatė dhe mund tė jetė vėshtirė, por kjo nuk ėshtė e vėshtirė njė shėtitje. Still, every day people get into trouble or end up having an experience which is far from pleasant. Megjithatė, ēdo ditė njerėzit nė vėshtirėsi, ose tė pėrfundojnė duke pasur njė pėrvojė e cila ėshtė larg nga tė kėndshme. The most common factors are: Mė e zakonshme faktorė janė:

People who never do any exercise and suddenly want their body to walk 16 uneven km without protesting. Njerėzit qė kurrė nuk bėjnė ndonjė ushtrim dhe papritmas duan tė ecin me trupin e tyre tė pabarabartė 16 km pa protestuar.

Bad shoes creating blisters and / or foot-ache. Bad kėpucė blisters krijimin dhe / ose kėmbėsori ache.

Problems with the heat (in summer). Problemet me tė ngrohjes (nė verė).

Knee problems that develop during the steep descent at the beginning of the walk and have no time to get better once that original strain is over. Gju se problemet e zhvilluar gjatė pjerrta pjerrėsirė nė fillim tė ecin dhe nuk kanė kohė pėr tė marrė mė tė mirė se njė herė origjinal ėshtė mbi tendosje.

However if you don' t feel fit enough then there is an easier approach: the lazy way. Mirėpo nėse ju don 't ndjehen tė pėrshtaten mjaft atėherė ekziston njė qasje mė e lehtė: tė lazy mėnyrė. You start from Agia Roumeli and walk up to The Sideroportes (Iron Gates) which is the most narrow part of the gorge; you almost touch both sides of the rock walls at the same time while these walls rise 1000 ft up. Ju filloni nga Agia Roumeli dhe ecin deri nė Sideroportes (Iron Gates) i cili ėshtė mė i ngushtė pjesė tė grykės; ju prek pothuajse tė dy anėt e mureve rock nė tė njėjtėn kohė, ndėrsa kėto mure tė rritet deri 1000 ft. Please check boat times for Agia Roumeli before you set off if you are not part of an organised tour. Ju lutem kontrolloni varkė pėr Agia Roumeli herė para se tė ju dėrgoj nė qoftė se ju nuk jeni pjesė e njė tur tė organizuar. The full walk is best done by organised coach trip as it is a one Shėtitje e plotė ėshtė bėrė mė sė miri nga traineri udhėtim tė organizuar si ajo ėshtė njė njė way trip( the only way to leave Agia Roumeli is by boat there are no roads from here). mėnyrė udhėtim (e vetmja mėnyrė pėr tė lėnė Agia Roumeli ėshtė me anije nuk ka rrugė nga kėtu).

The best time of year to do Samaria would probably be April,May or September,October when the weather is cooler and the walk is less crowded. Kohė mė e mirė e vitit pėr tė bėrė Samaria do tė jetė ndoshta nė prill, maj ose shtator, tetor, kur moti ėshtė frigorifer dhe nė kėmbė ėshtė mė pak i mbushur me njerėz.
