Crete beach, Falasarna Beach مرêت انشا×éء ¬ شا×éء Falasarna
At the far Western end of Crete is the beautiful quiet sandy beach of Falasarna (can be quiet windy). لê انعرب انآو çè وçاêة مرêت انجهêنة انçادئة هو انشا×ئ انرهنê Falasarna (êهمو أو تمèو انرêاح çادئة). A little further north are the ancient ruins of Falasarna. âنêنا لê انشهان çê ا×نان âدêهة Falasarna. This Castle was built in 1371, during the four and a half centuries of Venetian rule.In 1669 Crete was conquered by the Turks, who remained there until 1898. çذç انâنظة بوêت لê 1371 ¬ èخنان أربظة âرèو èوصل هو انبودâêة rule.In 1669 مرêت لتحçا انأترام ¬ èانذêو بâèا لêçا حتé ظاه 1898.
During the period of Turkish occupation there were many revolts, one such taking place at Frangokastello on 18 May 1828. خنان لترة اناحتنان انترمê èجèد انظدêد هو انثèرات ¬ èاحدة هو çذç انتê تجرê لê Frangokastello êèه 18 هاêè 1828. The resultant bloody battle, involved 800 Turks and 700 Cretans. êوتج ظو هظرمة داهêة ¬ èتشارم 800 انأترام 700 Cretans.
A strange phenomenon is said to occur here on a morning each year, between 17 and 30 May, just before sunrise. èثهة طاçرة عرêبة هèجèدة çوا صباح من سوة ¬ بêو 17 è 30 أêار / هاêè ¬ èâبن شرèâ انشهس. A shadowy column of armed black figures leaves the ruins of a nearby church and proceed to march along the castle walls. انطن اناسèد انظهèد انهسنح انأرâاه êترم أوâاض موêسة âرêبة ¬ èانشرèظ لê هسêرة ظنé ×èن جدراو انâنظة.
